NOTICE: Antwerp ZOO is situated in a low emission zone (LEZ) which the city of Antwerp is reinforcing as of 1 February 2017 to enhance air quality. From then on, the most polluting vehicles will be banned from the city centre. Use the online test to see if your car is allowed to enter the zone and demand a temporary permit or day pass if need be.
You can find further information about the low emission policy of the city of Antwerp on their website: www.slimnaarantwerpen.be/en/lez

Park & Ride
If you'd rather not drive and park in the busy Antwerp city centre, you can always use the Park & Ride formula: park easily and for free outside the city and hop on the tram or bus to the ZOO.
- Available in all Belgian railway stations and online
- Since we already apply significantly reduced prices for our B-Excursions, a B day trip cannot be combined with the ZOO backstage tour.
As a cyclist, you support sustainable transport and a greener society. Leave your bike in our (unsupervised) bicycle parking on the Flamingo Square, near the main shop and members’ service area, during your visit to Antwerp ZOO.
Is the bicycle parking full? Park your bike in the underground parking space under the Koningin Astridplein. This underground parking space is also home to Fietspunt Antwerpen-Centraal, where you can also rent bikes and find a small bike repair workshop.
Velo, the city’s handy bike
The Velos are an integrated form of public transport and a quick alternative to traffic jams. Return the bike to a Velo station close to your destination upon arrival. These bikes are ideal to get you to your destination quickly and efficiently, when used in combination with train, tram, bus, or car.
